At-A-Glance InformationThis vigorous perennial needs full sun and regular water for best performance. The flowers will attract butterflies to your garden. Native to the Mediterranean, this plant forms a clump of stems that hold dark green leaves. Flowers can come in blue, mauve, pink or white. They make great cut flowers that bloom in the first year from seed. The genus Trachelium is a member of the plant family Campanulaceae, and includes three species, inly one of which is commonly grown as a garden ornamental (Trachelium caeruleum).
