The Eyrye began as a gardening journal filled with leaf rubbings, plant notes, gardening tips and tricks, and drawings, and has grown into something so much bigger. I have poured every piece of information that I have learned along the way from my teachers, including the authors I've read, gardening gurus I've followed, and the Master Gardeners who have come before me. All of the information on The Eyrye is geared towards the home gardener with the goal of increasing their confidence, knowledge, and self-sufficiency.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge that I and almost every other gardener who uses this website is creating a special space to enjoy on the unceded ancestral lands of Native Americans who were removed unjustly and violently and that we are the beneficiaries of that removal. We honor them by caring deeply for the land and wildlife they carefully tended for so long, and by doing what we can to improve the environment around us through our work.
