At-A-Glance InformationAlso called Violet Trumpet Vine, this species of evergreen vine was formerly classified as Bignonia violacea or Bignonia speciosa. Native to Brazil and Argentina, this vine is a strong grower and has dark green leaves. Blooms pop from late spring into fall and are lavender, flaring out at the ends. Caring for Clytostoma callistegioides
Pruning should be done in late wintertime to discipline growth and prevent stems from tangling. Throughout the year, remove long spent sprays of flowers and runners.
