Filipendula
( fil - ip - PEN - dew - luh )
At-A-Glance InformationCommonly called Meadowsweet, this genus of perennials grow best in full sun in cooler climates (partial shade otherwise) and need regular to ample amounts of water. They are lush-looking plants, and produce clusters of tiny flowers. These plants enter dormancy in wintertime, and prefer damp well-draining soil. They are great for borders and can also do well next to lakes and ponds.
