Commonly called Yellow Waxbells, this dainty, elegant perennial grows from rhizomes. It needs partial shade and regular water. Leaves are deeply lobed, and dark purple stems carry yellow flower clusters that bloom in late summer and early autumn. This native to Japan and Korea is great for border gardens and wooded areas. They can be planted amongst ferns or planted in great numbers under trees as a tall groundcover. They get to be about 2-4 feet tall and 2.5 feet wide. Grows best in zones 2-9 and 14-24.
