At-A-Glance InformationThis species of annual flowering plants is also called Meadowfoam and Poached Eggs and needs full sun and regular water. It grows best in zones 1-9 and 14-24 (To find your zone, click here: Zone Map) and is native to the wet meadows of California and southwestern Oregon. Flowers are commonly yellow and white, and leaves are yellow-green. Subspecies Limnanthes douglasii sulphurea (Point Reyes Meadowfoam) has pure yellow flowers and Limnanthes douglasii nivea has white blossoms.
