At-A-Glance InformationAlso known under the botanical name Senecio x hybridus and the common name Florists' Cineraria, this perennial is usually grown as an annual, and needs partial to full shade and regular water. This is a great perennial flower for cooler climates, and produces clusters of daisy flowers in pink, purple, red, and blue, often with contrasting eyes or bands. Caring for Name
These flowers need loose, rich soil and should be planted in fall or spring. Need some protection from frost, especially when young or recently transplanted. They love shady areas of the garden, and are great in containers on patios.
