Commonly known as Zebra Rush, this perennial clump-forming plant needs full sun to light shade and ample water to perform well. It forms an upright clump 2-4 feet tall of hollow, leafless stalks that are banded with light yellow. Stripes will fade in strong sun. It is great for using at the edges of ponds and other bodies of water, and is native to several parts of the world.
