Red Hook Sedge is a perenial grassy plant from the mountains of New Zealand. It has stiff, narrow leaves that form a tuft that reaches 8-15 inches tall and wide. It does best in full sun or partial shade with regular water. and grows well in zones 4-6 and 15-17 (to find your zone, click here: Zone Map). Foliage is dark mahogany to bronze-green. The plant produces black seed heads in summertime. Great for containers, ponds, or stream edges.
