At-A-Glance InformationThis genus of herbaceous perennials are commonly called Zanzibar Gem, ZZ Plant, Zuzu Plant, Aroid Palm, Eternity Plant, Cece Plant, Wardrobe Plant or Emerald Palm. These plants are commonly grown as houseplants due to their attractive, leathery glossy foliage. These plants have a stout underground storage rhizome and are typically evergreen, but will become deciduous in drought situations. ZZ Plants typically reach between 2 and 4 feet tall at maturity when kept as indoor plants. Flowers are low-growing, appearing close to the ground, and consist of a spadix and spathe.
